August 2009
A new sister
is born. She has
been watching the like-minded students who attend the same college as
her. During collective-“thinking” time, she placed her life
on the Rock. Lift her to be steadfast in this commitment. Jojo announced the arrival
of 4 new
brothers. They
go to the same technical school that he attends. Ask Daddy
to fill them to be like Him. Seung Ho Kang and Young
Li Lee, Deaf Korean “sent” couple visited with me and it’s
a treat to have them. After a few days of being back in Malaysia
where they serve, Seung shared: “Twelve
Deaf Malaysians want to do mission in Bangkok in December. How?” If indeed, this is the call
of the Lord of harvest, please inquire of Him to grant Seung, Young
and me the spirit of wisdom to organize them for service. On the 1914 ship called “Doulos”, I was introduced to Katey Bartie. Neat thing is she’s an interpreter stationed in San Diego, California. On a 2-month stint as one servant, she helped to wash dishes, gave tour to Deaf groups, interpreted for a single ladies panel. The Deaf Thais had been touched by her servant-attitude. Ask
that His touch is still felt and that the get-rich mentality would be
transformed to cheerful servant-hood. I need to
send goals for 2010, ministry budget for 2010, volunteer projects for
2010, contingency plan, STS, and monthly reports.
I like this accountability and want to be a faithful steward.
The Master’s plan is what I need a peek in. Please
“think” with me. Thank you. Yim 14
February, 2009 “It
is Mary and the Father who brought you here!” declared the priest.
Jojo replied through a hearing schoolmate, “Not so.
God brought me here.” The
priest gently spanked his head. Jojo
wai-ed then left. When he
told me his story, I grinned. I
said, “That was a bold thing to do.”
Thank you for praying for him.
He is growing in favor with God and man. You
are probably aware of changes …restructuring of our company.
There are eight Affinity Groups, and one Global Deaf Affinity
Group (DAG). It is a new
move in the right direction especially for all of us who work with Deaf
peoples. We certainly have
common affinity with each other wherever we live.
I felt more relaxed and yet more invigorating…cannot just sit
along but ask, seek, knock for creative solutions.
This is happy stress. Thank
you for praying for our company who is finally pushing for a Deaf
grouping to most impact the world of Deaf lost sinners. “My
daughter wants to come to work with you for a month.
She is gentle and a hard worker….”
Fact is that she is a Deaf American high-school-aged Yim
