Greetings!
I am thankful to God for you and your
burden to do something for Pakistan, and all your feeling for the need
of Pakistani deaf community. Thank you for your offer to put our
ministry in your prayer list. We do want you to put our name in your
prayer list.
I would like to tell you little more
about myself and my work. My wife and I are Christians, and we have
been working for the Lord for many years. We have a 1-1/2 year old
daughter and we are due to have a new baby in October.
I teach and preach among the deaf
community for last 10 years and I am teach them in ASL, I learnt ASL
here in Pakistan through different books and other teaching aids,
though it is very difficult for us to work freely among muslims for
Christ, but somehow Lord is helping us to carry on our work for the
Lord.
As in Pakistan there is no church at
all for the deaf people and here deaf people don't iknow about Jesus
even if some on explains them they can not understand because they are
illitrate and have no vacabulary. Actually we want to open a deaf
boarding hostel for them so that people not living in Karachi will be
educated but also the deaf community of other cities of Pakistan will
also be educated, and then they will be able to understand bible and
about Jesus. We'll be also open def churches all over Pakistan.
Let me tell you the problem of
christian deaf kidz, there are only two deaf schools in our city with
the capacity of 400 children and they are so crowded to get
admissions, specially our deaf christian rearly get chance to get
admissions, they are also so poor that they can't pay the bus fare to
reach schools.
So, please put our prayer request for
the christian school/hostel for the deaf and Church for the deaf
people. We will be thankful to you.
