Deaflympics in Australia 2005
|
The 2005 Deaflympics met in Melbourne, Australia from January 5-16, 2--5. There were about 3,000 Deaf athletes from over 90 different countries plus over 15,000 fans. Severa Trevino now in Europe, Yvette Aarons now in Asia, Aric Randolph of Texas, and Job Ayantola of Connecticut, had the great opportunity to represent SBCD at the Deaflympics. We shared the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ to the athletes, including giving out SBCD pins, Bibles, tracts, and our addresses. Most of the athletes were open to the gospel. Also, there were some Christian athletes/fans who shared the gospel too. PTL! This was an amazing experience for the four of us at the Deaflympics. More details and pictures will be shared at the 2005 SBCD conference in Oklahoma during Missions night. |
